Networks                                                                            Return to top
We would like to encourage Longtown area businesses with a shared interest to come together. By coming together as a group, businesses can often achieve more than if they were operating alone, particularly if they are facing a common obstacle.

We already have a local Tourism Network which is looking at improving the visitor literature available on the area and we are running joint training courses such as Welcome Host.

If anyone would like to form a network with similar businesses in the area then please get in touch with us.

Advice                                                                                 Return to top
Longtown MTI aims to put you in contact with other organisations which also have public funding to help you develop and run your business. Knowing which organisation to go to for answers to certain types of problems or for advice on specific subjects can be like finding your way through a maze. Some organisations we may signpost you to include:

There are numerous other grant programmes in addition to Longtown MTI’s £5,000 Business Expansion Grant. We can help put you in touch with the relevant organisation, possibly one of the following:

To make an appointment with a Business Advisor to discuss your plans and the possible opportunities for support, please contact the MTI office 01228 792778.
