Grants

Whether you are a new start up or a growing business, an individual or a community organisation needing financial help on a project, we may be able to help you.

Whatever your need for local support, please contact us to find out what we can offer. If you apply for a grant of some kind, we can help you with completing the forms and putting together your application. The whole process from application to decision can be as quick as 1 month or up to 2 months, depending on when our approval panel meets.

Just call the MTI office on 01228 792778 for details or e-mail us.

Business Expansion Grants                                               Return to top
New and existing businesses or businesses looking to move into the area can apply for up to £5,000 grant. In exceptional circumstances, this may even be extended to £10,000.

  • You can apply for up to 50% of project costs
  • Examples include investment in new equipment and development of buildings
  • Business must be located within the MTI area (or looking to locate within the MTI area)

“Many businesses are cautious about taking the next step of growth and it is often the investment in equipment or buildings that can put people off. This grant programme is designed to take away some of that risk by providing financial support and advice on the viability of development proposals.”
Helen Sykes, Programme Manager for Longtown MTI

For an application form and information, please call the MTI office on 01228 792778 or e-mail us.
